I know (think) my sinuses are bothering me chronically. I have had allergies all my life, but it seems like my sinuses are bothering me much worse than normal. My question is, are the following symptoms common for sinus trouble...

cloudy head/brain fog/dissassociation feeling/hard to concentrate and focus eyes

sharp pains that come and go on top and back of head

face feels full of pressure (more so on one side - although sides usually change)

pressure on top of head

pressure in back of head

(pressure feeling worsen if I bend forward)

tingly scalp

nose feels full of pressure but nothing is there

Any feedback would help ease my mind of this being something wrong neurologically (aneurysm, tumor, etc)

Thank!

Yes, that all sounds like sinus problems. One way that you could fingure it out is when you are sitting down, lean over and if it hurts, that is sinuses, however, it doesn't always have to hurt. Just for peace of mind, I would go to a Neurologist to rule out other reasons why you get such headaches and blurred vision. I will say, sinus problems are VERY hard to treat and get rid of and can make you absolutely MISERABLE!

I have awful sinuses and yes those are some of the symptoms. I also have expirenced dizziness and nausea. My advice would be to go to the doctor and tell him your symptoms just in case, but those are some of the symptoms. Best of luck!!!

When I lean forward, I do not hurt, but I feel a face full of pressure, alot of the times.

I also have many of the same symptoms. My ENT Dr. thinks it is sinuses and has scheduled a CT scan. I know how you feel especially the dizziness.

One thing I have that seems to be a bit different is ear pain/pressure and the feeling of clogged ears.

Do you have that at all?

Oh yeah, I have that ear fullness on my right side mostly. And it extends up to the side of my head where the ear is too.

Hello.

I have had ALL those same symptoms plus the following:
-Daily fatigue
-Muscle tiredness
-Nausea

I have lived with this for almost 3 years or so and it completely stinks! If you let it, it will get you very depressed as you want nothing more than to feel "normal" again. You have to work on a few things mentally to deal with it such as exercise, keeping positive that you WILL be cured and feel better again and accepting that allergies and sinus problems can not kill you. This positive attitude is what gets me through each day of feeling miserable and at only age 33 I often can find myself feeling like I am 93.

The only thing that sometimes can bring temporary reduction (never total relief) is nasal washes and decongestants. Exercise is also very helpful and helps the body to fight the allergies. I also take multivitamins and take plenty of vitamin C.

Don't lose hope! The mayo clinic is studying a possible relationship to fungus in the sinuses which may have the answer to chronic, untreatable sinus problems.
They're preliminary studies and treatments are VERY promising. Do a search on "Mayo clinic" and "Sinusitis" to find resources on these studies.

Godd bless

Brian

Has Flonase worked for anyone?
I am taking some kind of decon, not sure what it is, but it helped yesterday, but didn't do anything today. I did take the Flonase as well.

Anyway, I am looking for something that bring me some relief. I never realized how awful allergies can make you feel. I also associate allergies with itch eyes, runny nose ya know hay fever. Not dizziness, jitters, nausea etc.

I have used Flonase, didn't help. My doc put me on Duratuss (combo of guafinesin and psuedofed (sp?)) and Nasacort. That cleared me out. Took a week for them to kick in, but boy did they. My sinuses drained so much I had to take a Zyrtec to stop them for a while.

But I have another issue as well. I have Sarcoidosis (systemic inflammation) and this can effect the sinuses in major ways. Alot of times I feel my sinuses are full, but when I had a sinus CT scan and a sinus x-ray, doc said they were clear.
