Hi
I have dealt with unexplained seizure activity all my life, I don't have epiliepsy but may have neuro cardio syncope. I have some choices about medicine, but most of them are meds like zoloft and norpace, wich i am against taking. In my research I have found that I most likely have a nervous system problem, in my autonomic nervous system. I have pain in my muslces and joints and digestive problems, I also suffer from headaches and pain in the base of my skull. someone mentioned acupuncture to me,and I was wondering how acupuncture might help. also, does anyone know of any herbal medicine that could help raise blood pressure and joint pain? what is acupuncture good for?
I would appreciate any replies, I'm desperate to not go on drugs such as zoloft, I willl try anything but.

Hi Sara,

I think in your case it is best with Chinese herbal medicine. There are many herbalists out there, but to be able to locate a good one is very difficult. Be careful because wrong herbal treatment can do harm.

The problem with the nervous system is that it effects the digestive and circulatory systems in a bad way. Valerian root would be a good start on your nervous system, Garlic and Hawthorn berry to increased circulation and heart strength. On the digestive system it sort of depends on what's your feeling,
a combination of slippery elm, marshmallow, plantain, chamomile, rose hips and bugleweed will help reduce irritation and relieve inflammation in the stomach, small intestine and colon.
