Can anyone give me info on a stress fracture on top of the foot? Do you get swelling in the foot and ankle with that? Does it feel tender?

Hi,

I had stress fracture in my 2nd metatarsal. It wasn't swollen but very painfull to walk. Stress fractures show on Xray only few (3?) weeks after the injury when they can see new calcification on the bone.

Goodluck,

My Podiatrist shoe me my x-ray which he said the "fuzzy" part of my foot indicated a crack. He also said that I have a crack under the ball of my foot, but unless it's pushed on pretty hard or I wear high heels, it doesn't bother me. But you say that your's didn't swell? Now I am wondering if I was diagnosed correctly because when I wear the air brace, sometime my foot will feel tingly after wearing it awhile, not too often though but then when I take it off, it doesn't seem as puffy until I start to walk around on it and it has sort of a tingly/numb I guess you could say feeling for a little bit after taking it off. So, I don't know what to think now.
