I have been having pain in both feet for quite a while. When I get up in the morning or get up from sitting they hurt in the ball and below toe area. It feels like my foot just doen't want to bend. It hurts so bad when I have been off my feet and get up to walk. I also feel tightness in calves and lower back. The only time my feet do not hurt is when I have my shoes on. Does anyone know whats going on? Tired of hurting and walking like I'm 100 years old when I am barefoot.

I used to have the same problem and went to see a podiatrist. I had pain below my toes and the reason was that the mechanics in my foot was incorrect and my weight was not destributed correctly (and I'm not a heavy person). The joint @ my big toe was too mobile and was shifting the weight towards the other toes. It mostly happened when I was walking on hard floors barefoot or really hard shoes. I have moderate bunions which was part of the faulty mechanics. I also had back pain, which I think was as a result of my feet problems in addition to being tall. That's why I decided to have the surgery. You should probably see a podiatrist, the x-rays are going to show exactly what your problem is. It might be something easy to fix, good luck

My problem was similar to yours only caused from a second bunionectomy that removed too much of my toe. Please see your podiatrist. I have been dealing with a messed up bunionectomy for almost a year. Find someone your trust...get a second opinion.
