Im a 24 yr old female and im 5'3 and weigh 180 lbs and holding, my question to all of you nice people out there is has anyone been to a doctor who has given them a perscription for weight loss meds??? i have asked my doctor about trying to get on one just to drop some of the weight but the day i asked her office seemed really busy that she didnt have the time to sit and talk with me. in the past i was taking synthroid for my thyroid but last time i had a blood test she said it seemed fine and discontinued the meds.my problem is i dont gain any weight i stay the same, i exercise walk a few miles a week and dont eat a heck of a lot to be staying the same weight. can anyone give me some advice or support cuzz im getting really depressed abou the whole thing. thanks a bunch to all that reads this and could help

I can not believe she had you on synthroid and then took you off and let it go at that.. does she still regularly check your blood? My levels change and I need checked every few months.. if they get to high it is bad on the heart and if they are to low you know what happens.. I have been HYPO for 18years. you need checked...

Duh! You were probably "fine" because the meds were working.. has she rechecked since she took you off??? shadowgirl
