I noticed on 2 occasions when talking that I kind of repeated a word in the sentence when Iwas talking almost like I stuttered which I have never done..I was saying " I will do that" but it came out " I will do-do that" is this normal or could I have a tumor or something wrong with me???

Ashpie-
If this was only on 2 occasions and you have no other unusual symptoms, I would absolutely not worry about this. It's not as uncommon as you might think for us to stammer or stutter for no apparent reason. See a doctor only if it becomes frequent or you experience other problems with your speech or any other neurological symptoms ...Otherwise relax!

Ashpie, sorry, I don't know you very well, but how old are you, if I may ask?

hi projapoti, I am 30 yr female..why?? are you a doctor? I have read many of your postings and you seem very knowledgable..should I worry about this?? also, I did have a ct -scan of my head done last month for something unrelated but it was w/o contrast would it still show a tumor or something? I am healthy the only things I can think of I started taking clomid and prometrium
(progesterone) last month..could you give me any ideas what this could be related to?

Hi there ashpie...thanks for the kind words. I am not a doctor yet, but am going through the process. I agree with Zuzu that you shouldn't worry about this, but what I wanted to get at, is, if you were older, it would be something to at least be concerned about and warrant a good physical neurological examination. It would obviously be different in a doctor's office because the doctor would see you and get a general idea of how old you are.
A lot of people seem to be very afraid of cancer, and in this case, a brain tumour. What is actually more common to cause a symptom like yours IN AN OLDER PERSON (i.e. NOT...i repeat NOT you) would be a stroke. You're a little young to have a stroke, and if you WERE having symptoms of a stroke, it would be a lot worse. It would be like you wanted to talk, but no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't get the words out.....or one of the sides of your body would go limp, or you'd lose vision in one of your eyes suddenly.
However, you are young, your "symptom" is a very normal thing, and I'd only be moderately concerned about it if you had any of the stroke risk factors, and you were like 70+ years old.
In other words....you were probably just having a brainfog day...we all have those!!! ;) :bouncing:
