I am having an odd problem. I have been working out for about 2 months and it's going great. I'm not really obsessive about it, I'm more or less trying to get back in shape. But for the past month and half, after I work out, in about a half hour I get freezing cold. To the point where I have to wrap myself in blankets and am shivering. I only do about 20 minutes of cardio and a pretty easy weight routine. I get like this even after a yoga class. I don't eat meat but eat seafood so maybe I don't get enough protein? My muscles don't hurt and I am no pain except for the ice cold frozen feeling. Any thoughts?

have you been to the doctor recently?? is your circulation ok?? maybe you arent' getting enough blood to your body parts. do you dry off your sweat immediatly?? it is cold out. maybe it also could be your sweat dropping in temp. and making you cold. i would check the blood pressure/circulation first.

A doctor sounds like a good idea. I could go home after going to the gym, get changed, eat something, and then I just get the chills and have to bundle up even if the thermostat in my apartment says it's above 70 degrees.

It could be your thyroid or low adrenal function. I am hypothyroid and up until recently (I am on new meds with a higher dosage), when I exercised I became ice cold and I barely work up a sweat at all. I would suggest thyroid testing by having your Free T3 and Free T4 being tested along with thyroid antibodies. Adrenal testng would also be a good idea. Good Luck to you.
