For almost two weeks now every morning I wake up with this horrible headache that lasts all day long. It starts off above and below my right eye. Throughout the day it travels to above and below my left eye, then back to my right. I went to the chiro last week thinking my back/neck may be out, but no help. When I get hungry it makes the headache 10X worse (sounds stupid, I know). I've taken Advil migrane, Tylonel, Aleve, nothing dents it. It makes me sick to my stomach once it hits about 4pm and I'm just getting really frustrated! Do you have any suggestions to what I could take or what this could be caused by...
Thanks

Hi,

Is it possible you have a sinus infection? Are you on any new medications as of the past few weeks?

That area around the eye is usually tension, but hormonal also can do it. Do you have new eyeglasses?

Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your house? It could be low levels of that.

Would you be having any hormonal ups and downs? Is your weather there changable at this time? Sharp fluctuations in the barometric pressure?

Since it's been 2 weeks solid, daily and no break, it seems to be serious ** and I can really relate to the pain.

What helps for me is Anacin. Tylenol does nothing, aspirin and caffeine is what works MOST of the time.

I also make sure I have enough water and food intake (I get hunger headaches too).

I see a chiro about my headaches, and the one I've had for the past 3 days is a killer. I've ingested way too many Anacin. I also am on day 3 of a cold. Not a good combo.

My killer headaches are usually caused from c*1 and occipital. The adjustment is a bit freaky, but the relief is instantaneous. Can't wait till Monday.

I sure hope you're able to get it sorted out. Be a detective and write down everything and anything that you do during the day that may give you some insight as to the culprit.

Please let us know how you're doing.

Take care,
quincy

Thanks for the helpful information. Yes, I did start taking new medicine recently. I was just put on Prendisone about 3 weeks ago, but I only had to take it for one week. The weather here has been VERY weird. Like...Thursday it was 70 degrees, Friday it dropped to 50, and today we expect snow. It's been very strange like that for about 2 weeks now (hmm, now you got me thinkin!! LOL). I don't have new contacts or anything, but yeah I think something is going on with my hormones also because I'm having a bad breakout which I normally don't have.
Thanks for the info, I'll check into that medicine!

Make an appointment with a Neurologist that specializes in headaches/migraines (Headache Clinic). Check your local yellow pages.
