Hi, I too have a child that soils his pants, but mine is 12 years old, i have taken him to doctor after doctor and they keep telling me he will outgrow it.I Recently took him again and they suggested doing IBS testing, so hopefully i can find something out. Gonna get him tested for ADD for one...If i hear of something i wil let you know.

Hi, my son is also 6 and sometimes has bm accidents in the tub, he also sometimes wakes up with a dirty pants....we too tried the constipation theory thing first, but that made no difference...but my son has neurofibromatosis so they are now doing more testing, today they are doing an ultrasound..so we'll know soon if it's anything to worry about...I'll let you know what we find out.

I'm not good with doctor termology, but my son does have a disorder that only 2 percent of children get...but his x-ray showed that his intestines were still filled with poop even after giving him suppositories for 3 days...so now we have to give him enemas for 3 days, then we have him on a prescription laxative for 3 months...we'll x-ray again at that time, and if it's clear we'll try to take him off the meds, but the doctor said there is a good chance that Dylan will always need to be medicated for this problem..because of his immobility problems and his neurofibromatosis. But this may not be related to his neuofibromatosis, so it wouldn't hurt to get your children checked out for this...Have they had an x-ray done?
