Has anyone ever had a headache, where there was sickness and a lump? As I had a bad headache yesterday, feeling sick and had a lump on my head, that went and then came on the side of my face?

I get a lump (muscle spasm) in the base of my skull in the upper neck area. The pain radiates all through my skull and neck and is so painful. When I give it counter-pressure and massage it really helps.

I haven't heard of lumps right on the head though, unless you've taken a hit or bump.

I also have a lump on the base of my skull next to my vertabret and I suffer with constant neck pain and headaches. The worst the headache get the larger the knot gets. Massages help but only as long as I am being rubbed. I have suffered with this since I was a baby I have never found anything that would prevent my headaches or neck pain.

[ I have the most wonderful news after all the years of suffering with my terrible neck pain and headaches expercially since the encelfalitas I have finally found some thing that will give me some relief. yes it is still medications but to not hurt to actually be able to get up out of bed and make my husband and child breakfast the little things most peple take for granted It is so wonderful. I just can't believe it. I have been on just about every concoction of pills you can think of but none had ever worked. But this one has. IT is Soma for my Severe muscle tension and tension headaches, and Topamax as a migraine preventative and also to help me with my being bipolar. I can't believe it I have never felt so good I have absolutely no migrane my neck doesn't hurt at all
I truely am in shock. It is true what they say about people on topaxam though I have no train of thought. I seem to miss spell just about every word and I am an exellent speller. But that is a small price to pay for being pain free. I pray that every one will find something that will help them the way I have been help. God Bless You

before you get the idea i'm staying strung out it's just 1 of each a day.

I have wonderful news My doctor has me scheduled for another MRI, CATSCAN, and a SPINAL TAP for Febuary unfortunatly it was the soonest they could get me in. I had a MRI and a CATSCAN about 10 years ago but I have not had the spinal tap since since I had the encelfalitis. I pray to GOD that this is the turning point for me. And on top of it all She has changed my meds and that has also helped I am on 100 mgs of topamax in the a.m. and 50 mgs. in the p.m., and they changed the my muscle relaxers so I don't get ammuned to them. I am starting to feel a little better. It is a day by day thing though... Good Luck to us all!!
