Hi, Just wondering how things are going with your daughter. Did you take her to the dr. last week? Any new info on her head? I've been thinking of you!

Hi..
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I appreciate you thinking of me. It has been crazy as my husband just had surgery and than I had surgery a week after that. Nothing major. You were completely right on everything. We are putting her in physical therapy to help her neck muscles. I go back in 6 weeks and we will see if there is an improvement. If not he suggested the band, but said it was not something that had to be done. I guess they have to wear for 3 months straight. Go and get re casted every week. Plus its 3000$ which I don't have. I mean I could get it if it was a life threatening thing, but am hoping the therapy helps. Plus she will be sitting soon. I actually have been trying laying her on her side at night and think it looks a little better. My doc said he could try to write a letter to insurance but said its a crap shoot and you never know if they will pay for it. Waiting for the referral to go thru for physical therapy and we will get started there. When I asked my doc his opinion he said "if you want to know what I think I will tell you...I think she is one of the most beautiful babys I have ever seen and I think she is perfect the way she is". Made me feel kindof vain like I want my baby perfect. I was most concerned with her brain, but he said brain is fine. If anything she holds her head up and interacts better than most 4 month olds. So that was good news. Again thatnks for thinking of us.

So glad to hear everythings well. The physical therapy will help so much, and since she's only 4 months old maybe it will correct the head better than my son. As far as feeling vain, don't feel that way at all. Yes it's only cosmetic, but I was thinking of my son in the future. I didn't want him to feel self conscious about it and then wonder why I didn't try to do anything for him when I had a chance. So I think it's ok to be concerned. And I have a feeling you will see great results with the PT once her neck is stronger and she can move it around normally. You're so lucky you caught it early! Good luck with everything! :)
