Does anyone know what this means?

I have no symptoms of a cold or flu. But if I put pressure with my fingers against the side of my left part of my throat it hurts like crazy. No lumps. Doctor looked at it two years ago and found nothing. He gave me antibiotics and I don't think they helped. This lasted for almost three weeks? No strep nothing??

Anyone have the same symptoms?
