I forgot....How many specialist do you get to see before you hit the right one?
I think I'm up to about 6...Including all the therapists and my voodoo dr....getting closer wouldn't you say. Hope you are having a good day.
all the best,
Kathy
Hi there,
I saw 2 ENT's - both useless, one was downright offensive and rude, one homeopath, no help, one cranial osteopath, didn't help either, an acupuncturist - think she did some good but couldn't afford to see her for long, and then an oral surgeon for tmj, before I realised that wasn't the whole story - then the neuro oto, finally. Although in England on the NHS you go to a neurotology clinic and see whichever neuro is there on the day, so have actually seen 2 neuro otos so far.
So in total 3 specialists and 3 alternative practitioners, prior to the 2 neuro otologists. Who knows on my next neuro oto appt I might be up to 3 neuro otos, although unforturtunately I keep seeing the junior docs in the department, not the most experienced woman there, hoping next time I might see her. Want to ask about trying migraine meds as I'm starting to suspect maybe that, or the tmjd, might be playing a part in this and slowing down my compensation.
When's your neurologist visit?
Anyway, hope you're having a good day today,
best,
hbep.

Hbep:
Before they will schedule me with the neuro, they have to review my paperwork, results, etc before they will see me. What a system. You know even though my GP is not a specialist in this field he has really been the most human out of everybody so far. Going to tell him next week when I ask him about switching to Ami instead of the nort. I'm curious if they are going to do a spinal tap...wondering if anybody has had that done to them.
all the best,
Kathy
