Hi, Subs! Haven't seen you on the boards for a few days so I hope that you are having GOOD days!

I am doing better. I am running about 85% average each day. What I was wondering is what your final symptoms were. The last months before you hit the 100% mark what did you still deal with?

My imbalance is definitely better even tho' it is definitely still there. I still can't just fix my eyes on something and hold my eyes steady. I am sleeping ALL night very soundly which I know is a good sign, even tho' when my eyes are open when I am laying down in bed it is hard to keep them still. Things don't spin but just seem to move a bit.

The tension in my neck and head and pressure is much less. My head doesn't feel near as heavy as before so that I am sure is a good sign.

The worse thing that I am dealing with now is I am having these "spells" where I just suddenly don't feel well. I am not even sure where it is coming from. I just get this terrible feeling and it is very hard to cope with. I can't really say that I am more dizzy just don't feel good. It is only lasting for a short time and then it is gone and I am back to the way I was before. I wish I could describe it better. One of the ways I can really feel it, is that my ears become hyper-sensitive and I am more sensitive to movement and have to ask my kids to be more quiet and calm at that time. I feel very tense.

Anyway, did you ever experience anything like this? Or anyone else that will read this post, how about you? It is a very scary feeling, especially not knowing the source! I am so thankful it doesn't stay.

Would love your input Subs. You always encourage me! Really been wondering how your last months of dizzyness were.

I am going to be going back to my balance therapist in two weeks and then the next week seeing the neuro-optometrist. Another question, were your eyes like mine, just couldn't keep them completely still when completely focusing on something?

Anyway, enough questions! Thanks again!!!!

Keep that 100% going for all of us!

Blessings!

Vicki

Hi Vicki

Still here & still at 100%!!

..."these "spells" where I just suddenly don't feel well."...

If you mean like "sick to your stomach"...yes...never did figure out why...just chalked it up to----nausea---from all the crazy brain activity---went away---think---in 9/10 month---just so much stuff going on with this---it reminded me of someone---going to sea and getting sea sick---from the rocking and rolling.

..." ears become hyper-sensitive and I am more sensitive to movement "...

Oh--yes sure did have that...but don't think it correlated to the sick stomach feeling...but at certain times---the ears became sensitive to sound---since I had a hearing lose---that was slowly coming back---to normal---as I got better---I just thought it was the "nerves" healing in the hearing part of the inner ear.....

..."I feel very tense."......

Of course you do---and you should---I mean---just think of the work---your brain is doing----24/7---trying to keep you---on an even keel---until---things heal---who the heck---would not feel tense?

..."85% average each day".....

Now that is excellent---a very good sign---it is almost over!

..."last months before you hit the 100% mark what did you still deal with?"...

Nothing unusual---just more of the same stuff---just less pronounced---and shorter in duration---until one day---at the end of the day---you suddenly realize---none of the junk took place/happened that day---then the next day---maybe--a couple of short---jolts---but don't last long---then days--with nothing---then---a day with maybe an uneasy feeling or two---then days/weeks--of nothing, etc.....then gone--bye bye!!! :D

..."your eyes like mine, just couldn't keep them completely still when completely focusing"......

No---but remember my eyes are prob like not many other people---because of the problem associated with the submarine stuff...so would not use my eyes as a benchmark---I suspect---the eye movement is just---the kind of movement that comes about because of the vestibular problem---when you relax---they tend to jump about more then when---you are focused---but that just a guess...kind of normal stuff--for this junk

Well it sure sounds like---you are making great progress---and are about to join the 100% club....keep it up---you are almost there---I mean 85%--that is close---I mean real close!!

Hey Vicki
I have periods of time when I feel absolutely normal, then all of a sudden I get this horrible feeling. My head hurts and I feel really dizzy and nauseuos. When this happens I usually get a little freaked out but then I get up and try to do something else and it eventually passes. I also feel strange when my focus changes. If I drive I feel funny initially but eventually I am ok. When I go into the office after driving to work, I feel funny but eventually I feel ok. I think my brain is slow to adjust to the change in visual field.
I am at the 8 1/2 month mark.... Hope to be 100% by Christmas.

Happy Turkey Day
Mia

Hi, Mia! The spells I have are sure scary! They come unexpected and it is weird cause there isn't a specific thing that I am feeling. It is just kind of a sensation that I get that something is wrong. When I feel like it when I am laying down, I usually break out in a sweat. I didn't have any of the spells yesterday, thankfully! Hopefully, today will be the same. The day that I had the spells I tried some new yoga exercises. Just real basic stuff for balance. That may have messed me up some. Also, I am in the midst of menopause and I KNOW that is not helping one bit!

Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving! I am hoping to be quite a bit better before Christmas, too! 100% would be wonderful!

Vicki
