i hurt my left arm golfing this summer, and tho that has healed, the pain traveled thru my neck and into my right shoulder/deltoid. it hurts like heck and tho i go to a chiropractor and have massages regularly, it still causes constant pain. if i lay on my right side to sleep my arm is in dull pain.
i guess it could be the rotator cuff, but i'm afraid to go to my doc (i don't care for him too much) as i don't want to have to have surgery. is there another way to heal this? thanks so much for input.

Yes, there are plenty of things you can do to heal.
But you really should see an orthopedist who will be able to tell you if this is a rotator cuff injury/ or tendonitis, etc.
Don't even THINK surgery at this point.Surgery is an absolute last ditch option.
What you really need is a proper diagnosis.
And based on that, perhaps some physical therapy,or a cortisone injection, or the proper application of heat and/or ice, or judicious use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatories or home exercises (prescribed by an expert who knows what you're dealing with). Don't try to self-treat without seeing an ortho person first.
As much as I believe in chiropractic work, I would suspend massage and all manipulation until you get a diagnosis. You could end up making things worse.
See an orthopedist.
Good luck,
