[COLOR=Green][FONT=Book Antiqua]Hi I am so happy to have found this site. Let me tell you alittle about myself, I was DX'd with MS in 1994, I felt that I would not let this bring me down, but it did bring my marriage down, of 17 yrs, In the year 2000, I was not feeling real well, I had had a headache for over a week, And I was just extremly tired, But I thought that I was just pushing myself, my oldest was graduating, I was doing things for that, my youngest was playing softball, and I was team mom. I finally gave in and went to the doctor, He asked me if I had noticed how yellow I looked? MMMMM No he drew blood, and gave me the same old lecture, to pace myself, that I was pushing the MS. I went home and got back to business, 9pm that evening my Dr called and told me to get to the hospital. My RBC was 4.6., That was my first bought , was DX'd with auto imune hemolytic anemia. I was given 2 transfusions, and put on Prednisone, the weight has been a night mare, I did not have probs againd until this last april went to the Dr and basically the samething, this time my Hemotologist tried Retuxin treatment., I have felt fine until this last week, Now I feel like I am dropping again, I have an appointment at 10:30 am to be checked, now I dont know what is going to happen, it is scarey, I don't know what to do, I am so glad that I have found this site. I will be visiting here often, glad to have met you

Hey there, glad to see you've found us! I've found this site to be a good place for support, info, and a little venting now and then! I don't know much about hemolytic anemia - do they know what's causing it? I've been diagnosed with iron-deficiency anemia and have been dealing with this now for just about a year....and am hopefully on my way to getting some more direct answers, allowing me to get on with my life! I hope your appointment goes well and that they've caught it in time before needing to transfuse you. Good luck

Hey thanx for replying, I am so happy that I have found this also. Well they did catch it this time in time, I dropped to just below 8, so I am now back on prednesone 70 mg a day, and go back next week, I guess the next step for me is a spleenectomy now. The first time i was in the hospital they did all the test to see what mine was caused from, it was not caused from a virus, or medication, I have just been chosen to be one of the lucky ones to have 2 autoimune deseases. I am special  That is ok, I am happy that I did not have to be admitted and have more transfusions, and I still can spend the holidays with my kids. Thank you again hope to talk to you soon! Hey there, glad to see you've found us! I've found this site to be a good place for support, info, and a little venting now and then!
