I gave blood 2 days ago and still feel a bit weak.
They only took 240 of the maximum 470 (mg a think).

- when can expect to have my strength back?
- when can I start weight training?
- when can I resume anaerobic exercise?
- is training with less blood more effective? or damaging?

tia if you've an experience with this.

I gave blood about a month ago, and I was feeling fine afterwards. They told me not to exercise that day that I gave blood, and to drink plenty of fluids for the rest of the day. I don't know what to do if you are still feeling weak, though. I would contact the place that you gave blood at, or your primary care physician.

I work out aerobically and with a heart monitor. I know one thing, it takes me several days for my workout to get back to where it was after I give blood. I do workout hard, maybe that is the reason. My heart rate will be 10 or 15 beats a minute over where it should be and I have to slow down. That is the only thing I notice. Other than the exercise my energy level is the same.
