What are the common symptoms of H1 Herpes? Ive never gotten any sores or blisters, but wanted to know what everyone else is getting. I've had the "papercuts" of which my doc had no clue what I had before I was diagnosed. Kept saying its yeast infections, bacterial infections. He kept saying if you had herpes, you'd get visible sores, blisters, lesions. Have never gotten those. Is a discharge common with H1?

I don't know about others, but I have never gotten a discharge with h. I often (but not always) get a tingling, aching, sensitivity in my groin and down my leg, then a couple of days later get an area about 1/4-inch diameter that swells a bit and feels irritated, then the next day some very sensitive, tiny blisters (sometimes only one.) Usually at this point the swelling has disappeared. After one or two more days, the blisters have become either a few little sores or one bigger sore. Sometimes they heal right away, within a couple of days. Sometimes it takes forever, like a week. Once they have healed over, I can still see a red mark that doesn't hurt for another day or so. Nope havent recieved anything close to that. I think i just felt really irritated one time and I applied a cream with cortisone in it and the irritation went away.ONly reason I got tested for H1 was cus found out my ex contracted it from the girl he cheated on me with. Then thats when i really started paying attention to my body and noticed small cuts. I thought that came from going number 2 on account I get easily constipated. I thought the cuts came from going number 2 to hard and my skin being stretched out. well anyways I'd feel the cuts opening when I would wipe. Thats when i realized they were there. My skin I think got to sensitive that wiping would break the skin when before it wouldnt. Thats as bad as the symptoms go. Is this weird?

That's not so weird. I've known several people that tend to get those fissures from being constipated. The remedy, of course, is to eat fewer refined foods (from white flour, white rice, etc) and eat more vegetables & fruit (esp raw) and whole grains, which contain the fiber you need to avoid constipation. You can also eat ground-up flax seed 3x a day, which provides not only fiber but also the vaunted Omega-3 fatty acids that protect you from cancer and other undesirable conditions.

Discharge plus small cracks or cuts in the genital area & itchiness could have been thrush. It can affect the anus too, it's happened to me!

That same thing is I think going on with me. I'll look into thrush as you suggessted ly_b. Is that related to herpes?
I also just thought it was something to do with what I was eating, but now I wonder if the two are related.

Thrush is a yeast infection in the mouth. Babies often get it because they nurse and then fall asleep with the sweet milk in their mouths. Yeast multiplies well in sugary environments, so it could have something to do with what you eat if it is indeed thrush.
