The fatigue, lack of energy, paleness, slow healing, easy bruising...etc. I find to be more bearable than how the anemia affects me mentally. Not being able to concentrate, not being able to do simple math, being depressed or confused...that for me is the toughest part.

Where did I find that saying?
I have multiple disease processes going on at once (anemia, CHF, GERD, trashed immune system, TB infected, Kidneys damaged, liver damaged, larynx damaged, multiple PE, multiple pneumonia). I have been told about 10 times that "you could die" (if you don't let us lock you up here in ICU for a week, poke you full of holes, pump you full of drugs, wake you up fifteen times a night to ask how you are sleeping, send you for multiple tests). I just got right tired of hearing it all. I flushed all the medications (major temper fit) and told them all (doctors) to eat manure. :bouncing: I came to the conclusion that they don't have a clue and we all die anyway so I might as well just live MY life the way I want to. I discovered something interesting. A lot of the symptoms were coming from the medications. We had this proven to us in spades last week. Our 14 year old son was hurt at a hockey game. They put him on Naproxen for the swelling and pain. He now has a bleeding ulcer! The kid could eat just about anything (and I mean ANYTHING before). Now he gets pain if he eats MOST things.

Cheers
