Sponsor mlwrn 11-29-2003, 09:52 AM Have you tried any hard candy? That usually helped me. strattercaster 11-30-2003, 09:04 AM Same issue for me - I'm a teacher. How long have you had dry mouth? I found it diminishes after several months on Strattera. (Although if I miss a day, or a weekend :( the dry mouth occurs, along with other unpleasant side effects). Anyhow, my solution was to keep hydrated throughout the day by keeping a stock of bottled water nearby. I usually went through one or two bottles a day- sipping not chugging - as the need arose. Seemed to work pretty well. Good Luck! Christine7777 12-01-2003, 01:44 PM Same issue for me - I'm a teacher. How long have you had dry mouth? I found it diminishes after several months on Strattera. It also helps with the occasional "heat waves" that come over me without warning. It seems to stave off that side effect as well. free~spirit 12-01-2003, 01:56 PM Both suggestions of hard candy and water are great. When I was younger I took adderall and one side effect I had from that was dry mouth and an unpleasent taste in my mouth. I kept a bottle water with me, I also chewed gum constantly, when I couldn't chew gum I sucked on hard candy. I liked the apple / lemon / watermelon jollyranchers, jollyranchers have a bit of a sour taste that creates more saliva. strattercaster 12-01-2003, 05:31 PM .
