I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the ALCAT allergy testing?
I, myself, am having it done to see if it helps with some undiagnosed chronic pain issues Im having. Would appreciate any feedback http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif. Thank you, Kim

Hi Kim,
I am curious to know what kind of chronic pain you are having? I've been having head pains for about three and half months, and my doctors have no idea what the cause is. I had a CT scan which came back normal, and I am going in for an allergy test in August to see if I'm allergic to something. Hope everything goes well for you.

Stella

Hi Stella http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif

Actually, its a bit of a mystery to the doctors as well as what sounds like, yourself. Mine is rib pain/soreness and abdominal pain. Im on several medications... right now. Vicodine and Topamax (been through several but will try do this "trial" to see if this helps any as of now also). I too have had all sorts of tests done and they cant seem to find any sorce of a possible cause, (even had my gall bladder out in April on the far off chance that might be the problem.. but no dice).

So now Im kind of at a loss as to where to go from here, as I am still at so many doctors with clueless expression and handing me off to one place or another, and just hoping to find someone with some sort of luck with this type of test? I had heard the test mentioned at one time and just recently persued it.

Stella, Im so sorry to hear about your situation. I do wish the best for you. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Hang in there!! Your in my prayers!

Quick question though, have you tried your dentist? To see if it could be TMJ? Might be a long shot, but sometimes if you grind your teeth at night, not even knowing it, it could cause some of those problems?
