hi, im well paradoid about things and worry too easily. I hooked up with a girl about a year ago at a party and got well drunk. i fingered her, but im pretty sure thatwe didnt have sex. it was close. Im a bit of a worrier, and thought, hey why dont i just get tested.. just to get this outta my head. Theres a surgery up the road with a pharmacy. What shud i do? will the pharmacy sell a home test? how does it work? If not, how do i arrange a test to be made? just arrange an appointment with a doctor and say to him " i want to be tested " etc. I wouldnt like my parents to find out bout me doing this so whats the best way for me! im a boy btw.. lol, 17 years old. I would appreciate some answers! thnx.

i see that you are from england, so i don't know if it works the same as far as health care goes. but so you know, there is virtually no chance of HIV transmission in that way. you can get a home test, but the best way is to have a professional lab do it so you are not wondering "did i do the test right?" sometimes those home tests have faint lines and what nots that make you really freak out, or so i'm told. but to answer your question, yes. you go to your doctor, a clinic, whatever and tell them you want an HIV test. you have to ask for is soecifically as they need permission, it is not standard in any oither blood work up you may ask for. if that is your only sexual encounter like that, you really have nothing to be worried about. but get tested if it will make you feel better. good luck, better to be safe than sorry.

ok, can the doctor take blood from the surgery up the road? will it cost anything? how long will it take, and will it be confidential? Thanks for your reply.

i don't know what "the surgery" means. i think it means hospital. i can't answer that as i don't live in england, you would have to call and ask. yes, it is confidential. i don't know about the cost ethier. i think that you just need to call and make an appointment and ask all of those questions whom can answer for sure. good luck
