For those who have HSV-1 in genital region, how often are recurrances?
I ask this because over the past year I have had odd sensations in my lower body for the past year (i.e., itching in the scrotum, severe ithing of the anus (sometimes w/ blood), pain sometimes in what I think are my lymph nodes at my waste, a least once a rash on my upper thigh, a throbbing pain at the inner tip of my penis and itching and what may or may not be pimples on my buttocks. Most of these symptoms all kick in at the same time.
Above the waste I have had itching with rash in the center of my chest (which is typically preceded by an inner ear ache) strange electical implulses on my upper lip (I acutally had that same impulse occur on my arm and leg at the same time, they pulsated at the exact same time for a brief few second burst). No blisters anywhere, but my scrotum always seems to be red and irritated.
It started a year ago, risky sex one night (but wore a condom), ten days later serious fever, aches pains etc and ended up with a cold sore on my lip where I typically have gotten one for as long as I can remember, once a year or so. I had itching at my crotch and after reading about HSV on the internet, was convinced I had GH. Didn't go to the doc for about 3 months when I started getting those weird electrical impulses on my lip. Doc found HPV and removed by freezing.
I still had many of the symptoms still so was tested for HSV after 3 months of exposure.
HSV-1 IGG - positive (no surprise as I have had cold sores before)
HSV-2 IGG - Negative
HSV IGM - not detected
Went to the derma because the frequency of these symptoms increased, he tested again after the onset of symptoms, couple of weeks ago and same test results.
He says no clinical evidence, no blood evidence, no GH.
I would like to believe him, but I know that I have these symptoms and in good concience, would feel guilty about sleeping with someone if I actually have GH w/o telling them.
Its been a freaking roller coaster, I think I dont have it, then I do. The last year has been terrible and I cant move on with my life until I know one way or another what is happening.
What do I do?
