Has anyone had any irritation in the anal/rectum area, or the urethra?
I dont get any blisters there, just some irritaion.
Does this sound like HSV?

Yes, and it was funny when you said that you hate saying Anal Area (in a post responding to Backpacker). I second that one. And yes to your question, but I don't consider it related to H. Unless H in this case stands for Hemmoroid :) Just kidding, sort of. i don't know that that's it, but at the risk of being a little too detailed, I get it every once in awhile after taking a big, um... number 2. It's like it tears a little? And then I think it itches when it heals, I figure it's just like a cut that you get anywhere... sometimes when it starts healing/ scabbing it itches. Not that I get scabbing in my actual "anal area" (there it is again), but.. anyway. Not sure if that helps. In short I wouldn't say that your bum itching is necessarily H, but you can get tested to make sure.

I would get the same thing. Went a couple of weeks ago for that thinking i was having my first outbreaks. Turned out I just needed more fiber in my diet and considering im cutting down on carbs, its a glassful of metamucil for me in the morning, yum, LOL but then again it could be something else

Thanks ya'll for responding (I dont normally say ya'll). Maybe I will modify my diet, metamucil sounds great  , but whatever works. I do hope that is what it is. However, I have read from several sources that it can be a symptom of GH, but havent heard it first hand from any discussion groups, so just wondering. Actually it is one of the main causes of Proctitus and other stuff, and I sometimes wonder if my doctor quickly dismisses symptons for other non-HSV things. This stuff can get you so paranoid sometimes :blob_fire (Question: are guys supposed to use those icons without compromising their masculinity? They are kinda cool)

As a southerner, I must tell you that it is y'all, not ya'll. As in all contractions, the apostrophe goes where the letters were left out; in this case, the "ou" from "you" was left out. Thanks. I feel a lot better now.
