Hey everyone, I've been reading your posts, and it sounds like you're all very supportive people, which is great because I can really use your help right now.
My mom started having very severe headaches out of nowhere about 4 weeks ago, the first one happened while she was at work but it went away within 3 hours, then 2 days later she had another one which made her go to the doctor, they took a CATScan but everything seemed to be normal, the doctor put her on some medicine that calmed down the headaches at first she thought it had to do with her sinuses but turned out to be that was not the case. Anyway to make a long story short, she has had an MRI done and blood tests, as well as a I forget the name (i'm sorry i'm only 17) it was a shot in her back that they took some liquid out so they could check if it was related with a stroke but that came out normal as well. Well she has signs of migranes such as she cant stand bright lights, or loud noises, however the doctors say that it is not a migrane because migranes do not last this long that severely!Only 3 neuorologists have read the results of the MRI's there is nothing wrong with her and cannot see her till months from now, IT FEELS LIKE NO ONE CARES AND EVERYONE IS PASSING IT OFF AS NOTHING MORE THAN A HEADACHE, from reading I know many of you feel this way, do any of you have any suggestions or ideas on what might be helpful or what is happening? None of the medicines have worked for her except Oxicodone but that has stopped helping.Oh yeah and we’re getting worried because her mother died at a young age from an getting an overgrown heart, she too started with severe headaches but the doctors don’t think anything of it. I'm getting really desperate because she is losing hope and no one seems to understand her! If any of you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate to hear them! Thanks so much!!

This is not unusual for Neurologist. I had to wait 3 months for my 1st office visit w/my current Neurologist.
Search your local yellow pages for a Headache/Migraine Clinic and/or a Neurologist that specializes in headaches/migraines & set up an appointment. Tell them it's an emergency if you have too. Sometimes that helps.

Greetings, I too have headaches that doctors couldn't find anything wrong. I began reading about natural ways on dealing with it. I found Chamomile Tea and Lavender Oil very helpful. Rub the oil on the neck, temples, and upper fore head. Also Clary sage oil on a tissue then breathing it in helps too. Massage is wonderful for headaches. Hope this helps your mom. I wish her well.
