I was wondering how many on this board were given another neurological diagnosis in addition to ADHD.

I was given a variety of other diagnosis. Many times other things go along with ADHD or other neurological problems (besides true ADD) cause the ADD/ADHD symptoms.

I just wrote my first post which stated my son was diagnosed with "disorder of vigilance" by his pediatric neurologist. You can find some on it, but not much. It is not really in addition to ADD but instead of. He also worked with an OT for vestibular dysfunction (middle ear..balance). Also auditory processing - mainly with working memory and dyscalculita (math). I feel everything stems from one main problem - whatever that may me? Like the doctors say everything is so intertwined in that part of the brain it is like a puzzle and no one really knows how to solve it all. So I just keep on trying and reading different things until I figure out what works for my son. I have figured out some, but not all! He is generally a very happy, silly, active 10 year old until he has to focus on learning then forget it!

Yes it is like a puzzle. That is why I was wondering what other neurological difficulties people might have in addition to ADD. I don't think I worded the question quite right.

I have ADHD, epilepsy (TLE), and LDs
Brother with ADD and possible TLE
Brother with ADD
Brother with ADHD and LDs
Sister with severe difficulties not yet full diagnosed.
My daughter has ADHD (several small seizures first 3 mo. after birth)
My son has ADD
Brother with ADD has one son with ADD and one daughter who does not
My father fit the classic picture for ADHD
My mother fits the classic picture for ADD

It looks like just about everthing in the family is ADD but currently am wondering if undiagnosed epilepsy has played a role in the family as well.

Epilepsy VERY often leads to AD/HD-like sypmtoms, especially lack of concentration and temper problems, although there does seem to be a higher occurrence of epilepsy in families where autism and AD/HD occur.
