Curious-Orn CDA 11-29-2003, 11:49 PM Anybody - Hopefully, this is you Backpacker....Do you make it or get it @ a vitamin store???? Curious-Orn Olive leaf is what my partner and I take to keep the herpes virus away. I posted some info about it a while ago, it is made by Natures Way and should be available in health shops. I am in New Zealand but it is made in Utah, USA. It is brilliant, we take it at the first sign of an outbreak coming and it works within hours. If you need more info let me know!!! ReadnWrite 11-30-2003, 12:41 AM Yeah but how do u use it ? topically or orally? backpacker 11-30-2003, 03:49 AM Hey, Orn! Yes, I read CDA's post and decided to get some--thanks, CDA! I couldn't find it in the pill form, but I found a liquid extract (Nature's Plus brand) in my local health food/vitamin store. CDA mentioned that theirs is 250 mg/12% oleuropein. Mine is half that, so I took two droppersful in a little juice (orally) in the mornings when I got near my usual ob time (around the time my period starts) and when I thought I felt some irritation, that is, a prodromal symptom, I took another dose at night for a few days. I did find some pills and other brands of liquid extract, but they didn't say anywhere what strength they were. If I knew how to extract it myself, and had access to olive leaves, I'd rather do it, because it's expensive. But I don't! CDA 12-01-2003, 02:31 AM Yeah but how do u use it ? topically or orally? We take it orally, its a capsule.... just like a vitamin tablet... CDA 12-01-2003, 02:37 AM Hey, Orn! Yes, I read CDA's post and decided to get some--thanks, CDA! Well Im glad to know I am not the only one who gets it around Period Time..... if this helps there is a website address on the bottle naturesway.com As I mentioned it is made in Utah, USA but it is really popular over here in Wellington, New Zealand (City of the Lord of the Rings World Premier happening right now as I type this). |
