Hi, I am a 34 year old girl who was diagnosed with ADD four years ago. I have been on Adderall for the past four years and feel it has helped with many things. However keeping a job is not one of them. My cobra from my last job is ending on Dec 31st. I am trying to find a decent insurance that will not break my bank but i cannot. Any suggestions on affordable insurance that i can get my prescriptions still of adderall. I live in Illinois and am getting quite nervous of what is to come. Any thoughts, suggestions or experiences will be will received. thanks

You might try Unicare. It's good insurace with a high deductible. On my plan I have a $200 dedctible that has to be met on prescriptions and then the insurance kicks in for the rest of the year. I think that my son's Adderall (which usually runs around $100) goes down to about $20 or 25 dollars. Maybe lower than that.

Additionally be sure and shop around, prices at pharmacies can really vary. Sam's Club or Costco usually have the absolute best prices and you don't have to be a member to use the pharmacy.

Hope that helps a little.
