Has anyone ever suffered from white spots in the back of the throat?

I keep getting them all the way in the back next to my tonsils.

EWW, that's GROSS. But I feel your pain. I, too, suffer from the tiny whitish-yellow-ish globs lodged in my tonsils. Sometimes I cough them up; other times they are just there and look gross. I try to swish them out with mouthwash, but it rarely works. I've also tried digging them out with Q-tips, but it can irritate my tonsils. And if you ever break one up or get one out to see it, it's DISGUSTING scent will gross you out.

I read up online trying to figure these bad boys out. They're called "tonsil stones" or "tonsilloliths." You can check them out at www.tonsilstones.com. (http://www.tonsilstones.com.)

It's apparently built up bacteria and mucous, etc. There are cures, or you can just deal with them. Icky, huh?

my husband used to suffer from white and yellow globs in his throat. He found out that it was from a type of food that he was allergic to. He also found that he had not been drinking enough water. Talk to your allergist.

Just about everyone gets them. They're called "tonsilloliths" and are normal. They smell bad! Look them up in google!
