I know many of you who will answer know my story, or have seen me around. My entire family is sick at this point, as it is flu season here. Anyway, needless to say, after months of NOT worrying, I am worrying.
I tested HIV negative with Home Access, 18 months post possible exposure. I KNOW the time frame is conclusive, but is Home Access ok? Since it is FDA approved, does that mean they are regulated? They didnt botch up my test?
Looking for a little reassurance I guess. Home Access was a GREAT thing for me, as I didnt feel comfortable testing here, in public, in my small town in my situation. Thanks guys!

Im sorry I have no idea if the home access is any better or worse, however, I did just see something about that on mtv and if anyone was wondering where they can get one of those (as opposed to going to a dr.) or to look at the different ways to get tested, you can visit mtv.com and look under ffyr (fight for your rights) where they should list useful info on all that

I don't know much about the home access test but I have heard only good things about it on this board. If it is FDA approved, i would say you have nothing to worry about. I also think you posted somewhere that you got test at 81 days(aroudn there), was that test home access as well? Regardless, with your 81 day and your 18 month test, your results are conclusive between the two tests . You are fine, which is good because we need your advice on this board. ;)

Thanks for the reassurance! Actually, the 81 day test was through a lab locally. I am confident about Home Access, since it IS FDA approved, I guess, like most here, the fear is so compulsive, and just never goes away completley, but Im working on it.
