Just wanted to say hello, and that I like all of you dont feel too well. I feel generally crappy all the time. (Dizziness, Slight Pressure) -- Just a general unwell feeling, like I have the "FU" in the "FLU".

Does anyone else here experience an increase in symptoms in the morning? I seem to at times feel better at the end of day, an dthen I go to bed and wham, I dont feel well at all when I wake up... Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tummy,

Welcome!

Sorry that you are not feeling great dizzy wise! Have you been to your doctor? Its well worth a trip as many different things can cause this type of feeling - even simple fluid in the inner ear. He may suggest a medication that can help aleviate your symptoms. Good Luck.

Did your dizzyness start after a cold or upper respiratory infection? Is it made worse by movement. How long have you had it?

Many of us get the pressure you describe in your head.

Let us know how you get on and hopefully we can help you further.

Ilia

Hi, Thanks for your response. I have been dizzy for a little over 3 weeks now. I cant stand it. I have been to the ENT, The Neuro and a GP. The ENT said a virus, and the Neuro didnt really care. Although I do feel somewhat better than when it first started, I still do not feel well.

I dont know why I have more symptoms in the morning.... It feels worst when I get up or get into work.

I dont have vertigo, its just the dizziness/pressure feeling I have... feels strange... cant really describe it. No fluid in ears.. Neuro said everything was fine, balance etc... Same thing with ENT.

It does get worse when I make sudden movements or when I am talking to multiple ppl. Without knowing it I must be moving my head or my eyes .... Anyway, I am feeling so horrible lately...

Hi Tummy, did the ENT run the tests? Sounds like a mild case of bppv. Did any of the docs tell you anything to do? This mess is horrible and I hope it leaves you soon. Belle

Hi well I can relate to that BIG TIME!

Except that I was told it was lab's to start with a viral infection.

This funny feeling that you describe - its is soooooo hard to describe.

At the minute as I type to you mine feel like a weird mild pressure in my forehead area (not sore as such) with a fuzzy/fizzing sensation in my head which in turn makes me dizzy!

You are doing the right thing by keeping on going and with any luck the dizzies will pass soon.

Hi again.

No tests done by the ENT, the Neuro did an MRI which came back negative. He also ordered an ENG, but he didnt ever tell me where to go to get one.

I looked up on VEDA, the liost of dizzy docs in my area, and there are three in my town, so I may try and get an appointment with one of them and see what he says.

I should tell you that I was diagnosed with Viral Labyrinthitis 3 years ago... I was real dizzy, and it went away in 6-8 weeks... I dont remember how it went away... I just remember waking up one day and being able to ignore it... then as the time passed on, i forgot it was even there. What a great feeling... This time however, I feel worse...

Thing is I really wish I kept some type of journal back then so I knew what it felt like. I am keeping a almost daily journal with notes of how I am feeling.

Anyway, just been trying to give it some time.. I remember how it started, but I dont remember a cold or anything. I'll just give you an idea..... I was walking to lunch when all of a sudden I completely lost my bearings my eyes began shifting and i lost my balance and almost toppled over. After 2 minutes, it was over and i forgot it happened. Thgen the next week, about 4 days later, I began to have dizziness whenever I moved my head........ 2 days later it was this odd sensation.

My Brother who is a doctor told me that sometimes ppl have symptoms that cannot be readily explained via tests or what not, and usually these symptoms tend to go away on their own. His advice to me was to give it some time.

I think I wrote too much this time...

Hi Tummy,
You wanted to know if anyone else felt worse in the morning? I do! I have since this crap struck me in late June. Mornings are the worst. Foggy/lightheadedness times ten. I have full feelings in ears, nose and my eyes are totally whack. They dont focus right and they are fuzzy/foggy. When I move my head my eyes dont react quick enough.

I am new this too-just a couple months. I had a small car accident and think tis triggered it. I wish you luck, and that we will both get over this!

wonder if any one can help . someone i love very much is going through some of the same symtoms you guys describe they got off a plane 1 year ago and still feel like they are on it! it seams to come and go but it has left them on edge, feeling sick, depressed and has been playing around with there nervous system not alowing them to relax.the doctor has precribed amitpriptylime for the nerves but when i read up on the side effects it has possible negitive vertigo conection!
i have read about surgery to relase the pressure around the inner ear but have not got much further

if anyone has got some sound advise, ideas or thoughts that might help then they would be greatly recived.

Welcome Tummy2,

I definitely feel worse in the mornings between 10 am and noon. Before 10 is usually OK. If I survive the 10 til 12 part, then the rest of the day is usually much better. However, some days are just lousy from beginning to end like now. Think my recent plane trip stirred up the pot again....sigh.....one day this will end for all of us.

Hope you have a good weekend......Scott
