Last March I suddenly developed a stiffness in the groin area on the right side of my body. Since then the stiffness[accompanied by pins and needles] has spread from my neck to my calf muscles. Again all on the right side. Blood work revealed a high uric acid reading and my doctor suggested a proper diet to kower the uric acid. I suspect polymyalgia rheumaticia because of the symptoms. I'm due to visit my doctor again next week. I'd like to hear of similiar cases if any.
