I''m not sure if this is the shot, or maybe something bit him. But my baby (who is four months old) has this "ball" type of thing in his leg. I can't describe it but it's scaring me. I forget where the doctor placed the shot, but it is either the shot or something bit him. But can a shot have effects like that? Should I worry so much? I'd appreciate your answers.

OH yes...my kids all ended up with a small ball around the shot area. It was sort of hard at first. How long has he had it? I used to just move my babies legs around...like bending from the knee and doing little stretching exercises like that...and it seemed to help.
Congrats on your baby!

Both my girls, with their last round of shots, had the same type of thing. It was like a hard, round circle under the skin. It lasted 3 or 4 days, and then subsided. My mom said maybe it was because they tensed when they had the shot, and the muscle was inflamed. I thought maybe, since it was the same leg from the same shot in the same spot on both my girls,(twins) it was a reaction to the shot itself. If it doesnt go away in a few days, take him back to the Dr, but Id bet thats what it is.
