View Full Version : Gum pain after cavity filling

I had two cavities filled yesterday both on the upper right side. The back tooth and gum are fine but the other one is causing me pain. My gum is red and sore/painful near the top of the gum on the big bump that is already there. I have had plenty of cavities filled before and I have never had any problems. As soon as the dentist put the needle in my eyes started tearing up. That injection really hurt and it's normally not that bad. What could be causing this and should I call my dentist?

Thanks,
Megan
