New Dr. wants me to consider taking small dose of Depakote for migraines but it says that it can cause weight gain. Topamax, on the other hand seems to show some signs of weight loss for many on it. :bouncing: Should I ask for Topamax--try the Depekote, or neither??? Any info or suggestions would be great.

I lost 15 lbs taking Topamax :D.
However, I STRONGLY suggest that you talk to your doctor about AND research the side effect of both drugs. Use GOOGLE.

Thanks Mz. Migraine,
I have been on the net looking at all the anti-seizure drugs that are used for migraines. Not happy with the overall effect of any of them  scary stuff. But, haead hurts enough to consider all my options.
