Talk about brain fog!!! Yesterday I went to town to sign some papers on a building that we are buying. I wasn't too happy about going cause I was feeling fairly imbalanced. So, my husband was good enough to bring the papers out to the car so I wouldn't have to go and sit in the office thru the process. Anyway, decided to run to Walmart to return something I had bought a few days before. I got out of the car and when I stepped down it felt weird. I looked down at my shoes and I still had my slippers on!!! My 5 and 9 year old boys were with me and they just howled. They thought mom was pretty goofy! So, needless to say I got back into my car and decided I better go on home!
Thought I would share that to maybe make you all smile!!!

I soooooo relate to the sensations of imbalance not making it easy to just do normal ordinary things! it drives me nuts.
Howlong have u had this whole dizzy thing? how do u cope? and whats ya diagnsis? I have a memory like a sieve as I am sure we have talked before! How long is this that you have had this problem?

Hi, Ilia!
I have had this since July 12 of this year. It is hard to believe that it is going to be 5 months soon. But I am thankful cause for the most part the severe symptoms are behind me. I am still imbalanced, sometimes worse than others and still have stiff neck and heavy head, sometimes worse than others. But overall seems to be getting better, but very SLOWLY!
My general doctor assumed it was a virus at the onset, but I don't believe it was cause the vertigo wasn't that overall severe. I believe it was BPPV from the beginning of July 12 on. I did have a very severe inner ear virus nine years ago. I believe that is when the real damage was done.
I so long for the day when I can do the things that I love. I am so ready to get back into my church again and be able to be active. One thing I can say, is that thru all this I have never had such a desire to be with my church family and to encourage them in the Lord like I have now! God has truly used this illness in a mighty way in my life that I wouldn't trade for anything, even for my health!
Well, hope your day is going good. I have had a really good day today. Found myself dancing around the house to the Kirk Franklin song "Stomp". I knew then that I was feeling good! I just take one day at a time and try not to think about how I might feel tomorrow.
Blessings!

Vicki,
That's a great story, thanks for the laugh.
Were they cute little bunny ones?
I'm so glad to hear you were dancing around the house having a WHOLE BODY experience of your good feelings. I can relate.
Keep well,
quincy

Vicki, that made me smile and I think sums up the cognitive aspects ie: spaced out feelings, that inner ear problems can create! I am so absent minded these days and do stupid things and appear really thick! It's yucky! xxx
