wonder if any one can help . someone i love very much is going through some of the same symtoms you guys describe they got off a plane 1 year ago and still feel like they are on it! it seams to come and go but it has left them on edge, feeling sick, depressed and has been playing around with there nervous system not alowing them to relax.the doctor has precribed amitpriptylime for the nerves but when i read up on the side effects it has a possible negitive vertigo conection!
i have read about surgery to relase the pressure around the inner ear but have not got much further
if anyone has got some sound advise, ideas or thoughts that might help then they would be greatly recived.

Hi,
Have you heard of mal de barquement - do a search on it and you will see thats a disorder very occasionally happens after travel.
A good place to go for help beyond the regular doctor is a neurotologist (not a neurologist) or even an ENT.
Good Luck.

Hi there...Willsmom is spot on and this sounds v much like MDD to me. Your friend needs to see an ENT. Both willmom and I have an inner ear disorder seperate to this but we also have terrible problems with flying and get the same symptoms as your friend does. Therefore, what you mention does def sound inner ear related but could be a couple of things. MDD is the most likely seeing asthough it started straight after a plane trip. Please let us know how your friend gets on xxx
