Do you suffer from this? Does your child? If so I may be able to help. Suffered from this all my life and now have it under control for the most part. I would like to form an online support group for people with this problem. My goal is to lobby manufacturers to stop using the harsh chemicals that cause our skin to blister.

Well I have learned that with this condition, cleanliness is absolute must. If you do ALL of the following, the blisters should start to subside.
-if the blisters are very large, use something sharp and sterile to break the skin and release the fluid. If there are lots of tiny blisters, leave them alone and wait for the fluid to dissipate.
-Take long baths or showers(more than 20 minutes, soaking seems to help, bathe daily or even twice a day. If feet/hands feel inflamed, use a cold wet cloth for relief.
Once the inflammation goes down, your skin will be very dry and crack easily, use skin lotion (I use Vaseline intensive care, non-scented).
Change your socks daily, even twice a day or as needed
keep feet dry and clean at all times if possible
-Try to keep cool, being hot seems to make it worse.
-if you sweat in bed change bedding often. Don't use much soap in your laundry though, it is a skin irritant
-DONT use pressure to keep draining fluid from the same blisters, you will only cause more pain and skin damage. If the blisters are weeping, soak in cool water with epsom salts, or at least cool water, This will help dry things up. Use foot powder if it helps keep dry (on your hands too, if affected).
Use cotton gloves when handling leather or rubber of any kind. Wear plain cotton socks, it will act as a barrier between the rubber and leather on your shoes. Throw your worn-out socks away, they are useless.

Hope this helps. Be patient, it takes 3-5 days of doing all this just to get things to clear up. If you stop doing these things it will likely flare up again, so consider them a lifestyle change. I'll post more on the support group if I think of anything. The support group is at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/fingerblisters/?yguid=107304822
