Well today after fretting over these darn symptoms I thought what the heck i have too much to do so I got up and got on.
At first the sensations of imbalance and that odd feeling in the head were quite pronounced but then gradually the feeling wore off, to be replaced with somethiing equally weird...............although I felt not so off balance my legs felt weird......like sea legs or something.......a little weak and un-cordinated feeling.......although I was normal and stable not veering over or anything just the same as normal.......also now and again I felt a little woozy. It worries me a bit and I am thinking WHY???????????????
Have you felt this? during your recovery or any one esle for that matter?

Hi Ilia
Yep--as a matter of fact---there was a period---just before I got to 95%(about)---where---for some strange reason---I could not feel the bottoms of my feet---and the legs felt strange---at first I thought---I was having---nerve problems with my legs/feet---it went away--after a while--never came back---when I went looking in the medical articles---for a clue---I came upon--some that talked about---the "Proprioception" system---(40% Vision, 30% Vestibular, 30% Proprioception--normally the input in to the brain's equilibrium center)---and how occasionally with inner ear problems--- the part of the Proprioception System---that carries the signals from the "sensors" on the bottom of the feet and at the leg joints---gets corrupted---monetarily---so I chalked it up to that---but by the time I found that answer it was long gone---so I did not pursue it further--in fact---I think it said---that there are some people---that just have that---as a medical condition--i.e., no inner ear medical problem---just a--signal problem---in their---Proprioception System---the part that carries signals from the feet/leg joints---think it said---that it was mainly in the elderly--but like I said by that time it was gone!

Hello,
Just to say I've had this too - comes and goes, think, as Subs says, it's yet another delightful aspect of the same old rubbish. Although I did a bit of searching myself - one other thing that it might be relevant to in your case, is that sometimes migraine sufferers get weird weak limb sensations. Either way I wouldn't worry.
best,
hbep.

Hi guys well I am just back from another delightful visit to my GP..I have another attack last night, its been a week of them and I could feel my heart lurching in my neck, I tried to explain this to the doctor and he looked at me like I was weird and guess what that old chestnut, "you are anxious". I couldn't believe when I saw this post today. Illia I too for the last couple of weeks have been having jelly legs really bad, and also really cold feet. Subs your posting gave me relief, maybe I'm having really bad attacks before this thing dampens down.. then maybe not :( I have to admit I am getting really p'd off, excuse my language and I'm fed up with the doctor saying its "viral" and you can always get another job when I express my concern about working. In month 6, how often did you guys get attacks? how do you manage with going out and about? maybe I just write the past two weeks off as a bad attack... , I've given in and gone back on teh stugeron, if only to get rid of the dizzies and get a nights sleep!! Please share your thoughts.. Sx

Hi Littleone,
Ahhhh this is a tiresome disorder isn't it. What do u mean by attacks? is it spinning vertigo or what. If you can describe it then I will see if thats what I get. Spinning is not what I get though - not any more any how.
Hope you r ok - I too am wondering if I should get back on the stugeron - but it slows down compensation - yeh well its seems like thats not happening any how! lol.
Do you feel off when you walk and all? if so can u describe it? do you feel actually dizzy in the head or is it like horrid lightheaded and off feeling.
Did Simon put a name to the inner ear problem. Got a message form london to say that they can fit me in the second week in january - ah - well thats the best can i do i guess.!!

Hey Ilia, yes I feel off when I walk, I stumble around the place :) Last night I felt really really dizzy and my eyes had lots of flashing before them. My mum told me to put my head between my legs but that made me feel even more dizzy! I feel it behind my eyes, does that make sense? Then I get these weird heart lurches which I feel in my neck which also make me feel light headed. Doctor checked my pulse and listed to my heart and said everything was fine. I feel so tired, don't know if it's the constant battle of trying to fight it or what. I just feel like I have a really bad hangover. I know I didn't want to go back on the stugeron either, but I coulnd't stand another week like last and if anything its getting worse. Nope Simon just said it was vestibular, he said my results weren't that low so he coulnd't understand why I was suffering such severe symptoms, well neither do I! The doctor says viral, but you get better with that not worse... I don't really think he has a clue. It's alright for them, they'll have a great xmas unlike the rest of us :)
