my husband has a problem and we can't seem to find any answers. he has a cronic tickling in his ear, it's driving him crazy, there is no pain, just this itch that apparently feels like a bug crawling around in his ear. he's had it for quite a while and the doctors can't find anything.

Is the itch in the outer ear canal? If so, maybe some shampoo is irritating it.....although an irritation would be seen by the ENT. Sometimes the itch in the ear is actually referred from the throat area.........sounds like allergies of some sort to me........does he get sneezing attacks after the itch he feels?

no he dosn't sneeze, and the tickling is constant. he says it's not itchy, it feels like something is moving around in there. he also said that he thinks it is in the outer ear. it seems funny that the doctor can't see anything. He hasn't been to an ENT, just the GP, we don't have an ENT where we live.
