I have been experiencing twitches for 1 1/2 months. How do you know if they are benign or related to ALS. I am a veggie and thought it might be due to lack of Iron or Magnesium and have taken vitamins but these havent helped. I have also read these could be related to anxiety. Thanks.

Hi. My father was recently diagnosed with ALS. It's a very agressive and fast progessing disease. One of the symptoms are twiching and cramping of muscles. ALS usually hits people with in the ages of 40 through 70. here is a link that has all the symptoms and info. any way... I hope this helps. and I hope you won't ever have to deal with this disease. talk to your doctor and good luck. http://www.methodisthealth.com/health/nervsystem/als.htm

I've been twitching a lot too. I have no weakness, but a little cramping and tension. TONS of twitches though. I'm 25 white male. Could it be this dreaded deamon of a disease? I'm scared to death...
