Just read in the VFW mag that the government has taken responsibilties for us. What that means is if you are dx with ALS the VA will grant compension for you. I don't hav it but if you do and you served in the PGW get to a VA hospital asap. The last report stated that near half of the vets dx with ALS have already died. I don't mean to pass on bad news but it is the truth. Myself I can't work,I wear braces on my legs and walk with a kan and take so many drugs that I can't thing. I've been dx with server ptsd and fibromigilia, I spent 2 weeks in the VA hospital for tring to kill myself because I feel worthless to my family. Well like I said if are a PGW vet with ALS go to a hospital[VA] for your checkin. MAC

About 10 years ago I read an article suggesting research should be done on SF 49er football team. As near as I can remember it, the number of deaths of former players from ALS could not be accounted for by accident. This would have been the period from about 1948 till present.
