I have a friend that has ALS. Speech is impaired and she has some difficulty swallowing.
If she is eating and we know that she is chocking on food, is the Heimlich maneuver the best technique to use, or is there a different procedure for ALS'ers?
Are there websites that gives remedies to problems that could occur with ALS?

Hi,
A physician has told me that it's the best technique, and you can also hit on the back. It can be more convenient for the one who's choking.

But remember all the times, the good and the bad. The ones that made you happy, the ones that made you sad. Love life and appreciate what you've done. And you'll find that true living has just begun. -
