Hello I live in Pennsylvania and it is horrible with covering it's people that desperately need healthcare. It's almost impossible to get medical coverage if you can't afford it. Aren't there some states in the US that cover anyone no matter what? What states are they?

Aren't there some states in the US that cover anyone no matter what? What states are they? Washington state has something called "The Basic Health Plan," the premiums are based upon one's income and therefore more affordable for lower income folks. Other than that, I'm not aware of any states that cover anyone no matter what. Countries, now...that's another kettle of fish. :bouncing: The US is the only "first world" country that does NOT offer complete medical coverage for its citizens. :nono:
Sux, huh?!

Here we are one of the richest countries in the world and government can't even take care of their own citizens. But yet they can send billions of dollars helping other countries. something just isn't right with this picture. Good luck!

Texas is no different I make little above minumum wage and pay a fortune for ins. because I don't qualify for assistance and my 14yr. old does not either{she is bipolar}
BUT if you cross the Rio Grande to come over here all the medical care in Texas is available to you for free along with food, housing assistance, school supplies and anything you can possibly need............Go figure I guess that is why I pay so many taxes

Hello,
Kentucky has a plan called Ky access. If you have for example diabetes, you can buy this insurance. It is very costly. If you don't have group insurance through an employer this is your only outlet in Ky.

Good Luck!

when i was in pa i had no problem getting medicaid. of cource i was pg and working at wawa for just above min wage. alothough alot of peple take advantage of the welfare system it helped me so much and i am so happy i live in a counrty where you can get out of poverty if you try hard enough. although i am not rich, i have enough to afford food and even cable internet! all earned by my husband.(not money from the government) if it wasnt for welfare i would probably still be in the rut i was in when i got pg. in a few years when my kids are in school i am going to go back to school and will even be able to get ahead more. i guess i am what the welfare system was made for. it gave me what i needed to get on my feet and the hope to do better in life and give better for my kids.

I have nothing against welfare or medicaid or people who receive them if they need them and are trying to help themselves. It is the people who do nothing and get it all that bother me I dont feel it is fair for everyone

EVERYONE born in the United States should have reasonable basic health care as a consequence of being born here. Every CIVILIZED country on earth does it. But then, since the USA is intent on becoming a militaristic empire, all funds are diverted to the war machine.
It's been that way since WW2 and getting worse every day.

The military-industrial complex doesn't care whether the cogs in the works (people) live or die!
