I got a flu shot sometime in October for the very first time. I am 22 and had flu like symptoms (fatigue mostly) sometime in November up until now. Was in my doctors office yesterday and he prescribed Tamiflu and I have been having chills and actually vomitted this morning. I am taking an 8 hr Tylenol about two hours after I take Tamiflu and have been sweating a lot. My temp has been fluctuant. When I took Tamiflu it was as high as 102.7 and with Tylenol it comes down to 98 degrees. Is that normal? I also found out from my doctor I have this ear and throat infection.

Sounds like you have more than just the flu virus. Tamiflu does not help with fever like Tylenol, but actually helps lessen flu symptoms & perhaps make your stint with the flu shorter if you took it as the flu started. Good luck!

Thank you for the response. My fever has gone down, thank god! I got scared there for a good 3 days. A normal 97-98ish degrees and no more >100+. I guess all the bed resting and fluids are helping me. Now what I look on forward to is a successful surgery by the end of this month! Will keep you updated.
