I was just wondering if MRI's show anything when you have ALS? Or is it normal? If it does show something what do the doctors look for? Just curious. Thank you.

MRI's rule out possible brain or spinal cord tumors that can have an effect on the nervous system. Also, an MRI is done to rule out stroke as a possible cause of symptoms.
