Just wondering from the people who know...In the initial stages of ALS, do the symptoms come and go, or are they consistant. For example, one day my legs feel weak, for the next few days they are fine, then feel weak again. No loss of strength though. Today my shoulder feels weak, but my legs feel fine. I really don't think I have ALS, but with all I read, i get concerned.
Also, has anyone had experience where the intial symptoms only include some mild muscle weakness and stiffness? No dropping things, tripping, cramps, or twitches.
Thanks for your help!

symptoms of ALS do not come and go. as the disease progresses, it's all permanent. muscle cramps can be potassium deficiency. actually, vitamin deficiencies and mineral toxicities can mimic a lot of devastating diseases, and yet they are curable. i speak from experience on this one. good luck
