View Full Version : Thoughts on DietPower & Appetite Suppressant Question

Mine is a two-part post. First of all, I've been browsing this board for the first time and, as a person with ongoing thyroid problems, this past summer I was searching for SOMETHING to help me, something I didn't have to spend $60+ per month on. Through a thyroid newsletter I get (Mary Shomon), I saw that DietPower.com was highly recommended. I decided to try ONE LAST PRODUCT...That was back in July -- I paid a ONE TIME fee of around $60, set my goal weight and my goal date, and lost all 26 pounds a full six weeks ahead of schedule! I can't rave about DietPower enough and, no, I don't have a personal stake in saying that other than hoping to be able to help others who struggle losing weight. I'd tried almost everything and was tired of spending money on useless supplements. DietPower does NOT tell you what to eat and you can use it alone, like I did, or in conjunction with Atkins, Weight Watchers, etc. Nor does it sell you food or supplements (well, I think they have a vitamin supplement available) It's just an extremely effective tool and there's a 14 day free trial, no strings attached. DietPower first sets your goals with you -- you tell the software program how much you want to lose and by when and it tells you whether your goal is easy, fairly easy (the one I selected), moderate, fairly difficult, difficult, etc. Then it graphs your weight, your water intake, your nutrient intake, your exercise, your ratio of carbs, protein, & fat, etc. AND IT'S THE ONLY SOFTWARE PROGRAM OUT THERE THAT CALCULATES YOUR PERSONAL METABOLIC RATE! The downside is that you have to honestly log everything you eat or drink -- a pain at first, but it gets easy quickly. It has an extensive foods database & lets you enter your own food items, recipes, etc. Anyway, I really can't praise DietPower enough! I think it's the best kept secret in the diet world. I've recommended it to friends and they love it. The only people I know who haven't had success with it or those who eat what they want, log it, and pay no attention to their daily calorie allowance! Now, although it's not the healthiest option to eat junk food, I personally have eaten whatever I've wanted on DietPower (inc. pizza, chocolate, cookies, cheese, bagels, etc.) and STILL lost the weight. I'm a vegetarian so Atkins was virtually impossible for me.
Now, my question -- although I was never hungry (well, honestly, almost never) on DietPower, I'm having the munchies here at the holidays & I want to maintain my weight; I'll try to lose another 7 pounds after the first of the year. Anyway, I need someone to recommend a good appetite suppressant WITHOUT stimulants, particularly ephedra...I've tried apple fiber, garcinia cambogia, and others, without success...Any suggestions? I'm considering Feel Full or Appetite Answer (from Weight Loss Solutions). Does anyone know about either of these? Something else? Thanks!
