Hi all I am new to this forum I notice alot got vaulable information I can found from here after reading posts from this board and Ilike to get some comment more about ALS's symptom. So in the initial stages of ALS, do the muscle twitching come and go.. or it is an ongoing thing? thanks.

I am not 100% sure. It is different with every one. But with my dad, his twiching came and went in the begining. He twiched at night and in the mornings. Toward the end of the disease he had them almost all the time. Constantly. I could actually see his muscles go into spasms under his shirt and pants. When the muscles twich like that, it is causing it to atrophy and bascially die. They are no longer getting signals from the motor neurons to move. So they spasm and until they can't move any more. Terrible disease.
