I'm not usually a headache-sufferer, but I recently started on Zantrex-3 *plus* I was taking 2 multi-vitamins. I began getting headaches on the following day, and since it was mild, I sort of let it slide. Since that day (9 days ago) my headache has been intensifying.

Other factors? I was sitting on a horrible hard wooden chair for 3 hours for a half-day conference 6 days ago. Was rolling out dough and making several hundred cookies (Christmas baking) 5 days ago. I did dumbbell exercises on my shoulders two days ago.

Anyway, by yesterday, I was in such pain that it was almost debilitating. I couldn't concentrate, I was cranky, my head was in a fog, and the pain seemed to originate on both sides (particularly the left side) on the back of my neck. My shoulders (esp btwn my shoulder blades) are super-sore if any pressure is applied. Same goes for the back of my neck.

Any guesses as to cause? I am wondering if it's a)exercise-induced, b)the result of ODing for 10 days on niacin, c)stress/tension induced, d)caffeine induced, or e)caused by something entirely unrelated?

I would appreciate any/all advice. I'm currently Advil-dependent as a result of this pain.

Go see your doctor. You need to be examined to find the real reason for your headaches. Your doctor can prescribed something stronger than "Advil".

I agree with Mz Migraine, maybe you should at least put a call into your doc, since you don't normally have headaches. However, it seems as if the Zantrex could be the problem. Caffiene is a common culprit...are you used to a lot of caffiene? I read that Zantrex contains more caffeine than 3 cups of coffee! Yikes!
9 days is an awful long time to have a headache, unless your one of us daily headache people of course! However, you could end up with caffeine withdrawel if you stop the Zantrex. That's just my thoughts....
I hope you feel better soon.

Visited the doc - turns out at least *part* of the headache can be attributed to having 2 "stuck" joints on my body. A trip to the chiropractor has relieved most of the problem - and so has cycling off the Zantrex and reducing my dosage even further (one full dose = 5 cups of coffee).
